Sprint to Invent—Professional Development

Sprint to Invent professional development is available to any Iowa* K-12 educator—ranging from public or private schools, homeschools, after-school programs, and online academies.  

This Sprint to Invent PD is for you regardless of where you're at in your journey. We're here to support you whether you're: 

  • just getting started and curious to explore what invention education is all about,
  • currently teaching some innovation and entrepreneurship but want to provide more opportunity to your students, or

  • all-in on having students participate in Invention Convention

What to expect:

  • Interactive, hands-on learning to help you seamlessly integrate invention into your teaching
  • Free, ready-to-use curriculum to jumpstart your students’ invention journeys
  • Tools and strategies to guide students toward participation in the Iowa Invention Convention
  • Real-time collaboration with fellow educators who are implementing the program

Professional Development

Select the option that works best for you. If preferred, you have the option to select both online and in-person training.
Friday, Oct. 24, 2025 | Full-day | Costs for substitute teacher and mileage for up to 4 educators per school district will be covered to travel to Iowa City, IA
