Scale up STEM
Wednesday, January 15, 2020

STEM Innovator® was named an IA Governor's STEM Scale-Up Program for Iowa educators in the 2020 - 2021 academic year. Through legislative appropriation, the Iowa Governor's STEM Advisory Council is able to offer exemplary STEM programs throughout the state.

STEM Innovator® Professional Development empowers educators to design a unique innovation model for their school and district. Educators transform classrooms into incubator spaces where student teams solve real-world problems alongside industry mentors. Currently, STEM Innovator® educators have provided over 84,604 secondary students with the opportunity to engage in the innovation, invention and entrepreneurship process.

Through the scale-up program, Iowa teachers who apply and are selected receive a $975 stipend, have the ability to earn up to 5 graduate credits for $149/credit, may offer college credit to high school students, and will receive access to the STEM Innovator® toolkit with curriculum, instruction, and assessment resources.
