The Jacobson Institute Entrepreneurship Summer Camp is a week-long day camp for Iowa students entering 5th or 6th grade in the fall who are interested in entrepreneurship and owning a business. Camp runs daily from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (early drop off and late pick up are available at select locations for an additional fee).

Camp participants:

  • Build teams
  • Develop innovative products
  • Interact with local entrepreneurs
  • Sell your product at the final graduation expo
  • Learn how to give an elevator pitch

Who can sign up? 

Students who are entering 5-6 grades in the fall. Priority will be given to Iowa students. Students from outside the region in which the camp is being held must make their own arrangements for accommodations.

Schedule

Campers spend the day in the classroom learning about entrepreneurship, hearing from guest speakers, and developing their business ideas. By the end of the week, camp participants are able to receive direct feedback from customers and sell their handmade products!

Transportation

Transportation to and from the camp is the responsibility of the parent.
