SUMMER FUN
Students who enter grades 5-9 in the fall are invited to join our entrepreneurship camp to:
- Work in teams.
- Interact with local entrepreneurs.
- Develop their own innovative ideas and products.
- Determine their target market and pricing.
- Learn how to give an elevator pitch.
- Sell their product at the local farmers market.

Due to COVID-19 and the University of Iowa's decision to cancel all in-person summer programs through August 7, 2020, the Jacobson Institute Entrepreneurship Camps have been cancelled.
If you have already registered for a camp, you will receive an email regarding the refund process.
We are exploring the possibility of virtual offerings and will reach out with more information as we have it available. The dates for any virtual offerings would remain as follows:
June 15 - 19, 2020 | 5 - 6 grade camp
June 22 - 26, 2020 | 7 - 9 grade camp
CAMP DETAILS
COST: $250* per camper. Partial and full scholarships are available for families in need of financial assistance.
(*Note: The Marion Independent School Foundation & Alumni Association scholarship provides financial assistance to students entering 5-8 grades who attend or will attend the following schools in Marion, Iowa: Francis Marion Intermediate School, Vernon Middle School, and Marion Home School. Each camper will receive a $50 scholarship to attend the Marion entrepreneurship camp).
WHERE: Camps held in the Coralville and Marion areas.
HOURS: Camp runs daily from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.. Extended hours are offered for an additional $50 at Coralville camps only. Extended hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday - Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday. On market day, campers will reconvene in the evening and staff their booths at the farmers market.
MEALS: Campers bring their own lunch, except for a pizza party near the end of the week.

EDUCATIONAL, TOO
Don't tell the kids, but entrepreneur camp is a valuable learning experience brought to you by the expertise of the University of Iowa in entrepreneurship. Experienced, licensed Iowa educators and University of Iowa students studying education are the summer camp instructor and counselors.
