SUMMER FUN

Students who enter grades 5-9 in the fall are invited to join our entrepreneurship camp to: 

  • Work in teams.
  • Interact with local entrepreneurs.
  • Develop their own innovative ideas and products.
  • Determine their target market and pricing.
  • Learn how to give an elevator pitch.
  • Sell their product at the local farmers market.

REGISTration IS OPEN

Camp registration opens Feb. 1 each year. Registration link will become active here at that time and will remain open until the final deadline or the camp fills. Camp grade levels are based on the grade your camper will enter in the fall.
 

    June 15 - 19, 2020 | Coralville 5 - 6 grade and Marion 5 - 8 grade camps
    June 22 - 26, 2020 | Coralville 7 - 9 grade camp

    CAMP DETAILS

    COST: Early bird cost (Feb. 1 - Mar. 27): $200 per camper. Regular pricing (Mar. 27 - May 22): $250 per camper. Partial and full scholarships are available for families in need of financial assistance. 

    WHERE: Camps held in the Coralville and Marion areas.

    HOURS: Camp runs daily from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.. Extended hours are offered for an additional $50 at Coralville camps only. Extended hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday - Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday. On market day, campers will reconvene in the evening and staff their booths at the farmers market. 

    MEALS: Campers bring their own lunch, except for a pizza party near the end of the week.

    EDUCATIONAL, TOO

    Don't tell the kids, but entrepreneur camp is a valuable learning experience brought to you by the expertise of the University of Iowa in entrepreneurship. Experienced, licensed Iowa educators and University of Iowa students studying education are the summer camp instructor and counselors.
