Jacobson Institute Entrepreneurship Summer Camps

Upper elementary and middle school students are invited to participate in the Jacobson Institute's entrepreneurship day camps, held each summer in Iowa. Choose from among four sessions at three locations.

CAMP COST*

Register by Mar. 21, 2018, for the early bird discount!
*A limited number of scholarships are available. Early drop off and late pick up are available at Iowa City area locations for an additional $50 fee.

  • $200 Feb. 1 - Mar. 21, 2018 (with full payment @ Iowa City area & Des Moines)

CAMP DETAILS

What's in it for campers?
Partcipating campers will:

  • Learn about branding from a panel of experts.
  • Meet local entrepreneurs and take field trips to their businesses.
  • Build teams will fellow campers and work to solve a real-world problem.
  • Create a product and poster to showcase their solution to a problem.
  • Master the art of the elevator pitch.
  • Sell their products at the local farmers market and gather real-time customer feedback.
  • Enjoy a final graduation expo.

To Note:

  • Camps are for students entering 5 - 9 grade in the fall.
  • Priority will be given to Iowa students. Students from outside the region in which the camp is being held must make their own arrangements for accommodations.
  • Transportation to and from camp and the farmers market is the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
  • Camp runs daily from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (early drop off and late pick up are available at Iowa City area locations for an additional $50 fee).
